The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) committee will delve into the critical intersection of industrial growth and sustainable development, addressing the pressing challenges that arise for both developing and developed nations. This committee takes place in the present day and aims to find solutions that protect future generations without compromising economic and social development. Delegates will engage in thought-provoking discussions to analyze potential changes in current industry practices in order to achieve a more sustainable future. Delegates will explore policies, strategies, and initiatives that balance economic growth with environmental protection, social inclusion, and human well-being. Delegates in this committee are encouraged to challenge the current industry norms and practices in pursuit of fostering sustainable development and the well-being of both present and future generations. This will operate as a double delegation committee.

Hi everyone, my name is Sam and I am a senior at the University of Miami majoring in Marine Affairs, Political Science, and History. I have been on the Model UN team since my freshman year and I am a former head delegate. Outside of MUN, I am a resident assistant and part of student government! Outside of MUN, I love to enjoy outdoor runs and trying new food in Miami. I love competing in double delegate committees and I am so excited to be your chair!
