Land Acknowledgment

305MUN wants to acknowledge the ancestral and traditional territories of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, the Council of the Original Miccosukee Simanolee Nation Aboriginal Peoples, the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida, and the Tequesta Tribe as the original owners of the land that the University of Miami stands upon. We want to recognize that many groups of indigenous people were forcibly expelled from their land in order to form our university and we stand in solidarity with Indigenous people across Florida and the United States.
