The Marineford War:
Whitebeard Pirates vs Marine Headquarters, 1520
Chair
Alfredo Briceno
By order of the World Government, the second-division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates, Portgas D. Ace, is to be executed at Marine Headquarters in one week. A few days after the buster call on Enies Lobby, Marshall D. Teach aka Blackbeard, former member of the second-division, defeated and succesfully captured "Fire Fist" Ace to be turned over to the Marines in exchange for a position as one of the Seven Warlords of the Seas. Portgas D. Ace is currently being held in the maximum-security underwater prison, Impel Down, among some of the world's worst criminals. He is to be transferred to Marineford in the coming days.
The news of the confrontation between Marshall D. Teach and "Fire Fist" Ace has spread like wildfire across the Grand Line. Although there have been no major incidents in relation to Ace's capture, the World Government as well as high ranking officials in the Marine's anticipate a large scale conflict with Whitebeard and his many allied fleets. There was one notable incident that interrupted the calm before the storm. One of the most notable rookies in the Grand Line, Ace's brother, Monkey D. Luffy, was a direct perpetrator of a series of incidents at the Sabaody Archipelago. He collaborated with other rookies, Eustass Kidd and Trafalgar Law to bring about an imbalance in the Sabaody Archipelago. What ensued was a conflict between Marine Admiral Kizaru, Bartholomew Kuma, one of the Seven Warlords of the Seas, the Strawhat Pirates, and the other supernova crews. Bartholomew Kuma used his Paw-Paw fruit to combat the Strawhats and was successful in separating them. Currently, their whereabouts are unknown. Having dealt with this incident, the World Government has dispatched several Marine ships to summon the Seven Warlords of the Seas to Marineford in anticipation of the impending war against Whitebeard.
Considering the influence that Whitebeard has had in the Great Pirate Era and his status as the world's strongest man, the result of this war will have devastating consequences to either side and will essentially define which side is justice. It is imperative that Ace's execution be stopped. Portgas D. Ace must be saved as soon as possible in order to preserve the natural balance of the One Piece world before it is too late.
